Not often do I have a prime aged tried and true SOLID ranch gelding. Pepto Olena Doc, aka Toledo, is a 10 year old 15.1 hand AQHA gelding raised and worked as a true ranch gelding in Montana. This fancy broke gelding knows a hard days work. He has a legitimate fence checking long trot and will go all day long. He can gather and check cattle in acres and acres of pasture. He is comfortable pushing and penning pairs in tight spaces. He is handy enough to cut and sort out cows for doctoring and branding. If you're looking to get out on the ranch and work, Toledo is the real deal. Toledo will ride on a long and loose rein at all gaits and will not run off on you. Toledo does rope and is started on the head side. At this time, Toledo is best suited to an intermediate or above rider to rope on. 

For those who enjoy a more laid-back lifestyle, Toledo doesn't mind that either. He will haul out and be your trail buddy, your ranch riding competitor, or your western dressage partner any day. He has excellent shoulder, barrel, and hip maneuvers and is truly a "fancy" broke gelding that is ready to take into the arena and hit the show ring and show off. His long trot will put most ranch riders to shame and his body control will far exceed the average amateur western dressage rider's horse. 

If you're an English rider, don't pass over Toledo just yet! He has been owned the past couple of years by a family that has played around in the western events but also rides English! He will tack up in hunter or dressage tack, accept contact, and dabble over low jumps and play in the low-level dressage arena. Toledo is a jack of all trades, master ranch horse, and happy to go wherever you place him. 

Toledo is easy to catch in turnout, lives well with other geldings and does not pick fights, gets along great living in a stall and he does not have any vices. Living in a stall, Toledo does prefer to be in work (even if you just lunge him or do some liberty work) 2-3 times a week, but he does not offer to do anything naughty or aggressive.
