River - $7,500

Take a look at this flashy Gypsy cross gelding! River is 12 years old, registered with the Equines of America, and stands 14.1 hands. Don’t let his short stature deter you; he is well made and one of the riders in his photos and videos is 6ft tall! 

River excels at trail, city, and parade riding. He has been ridden through the Appalachian mountains, all over our farm, and in town. Strange sights and weird sounds?  Not a big deal at all for him. Go up and down stairs, over bridges and see all kinds of animals? It’s cool. On the mountain rides he has been exposed to deer, turkey, and the occasional bear. At my farm, we have pigs, chickens, llamas, sheep, cattle, a zedonk, and more! 

In the arena, River has lovely movement and I could see him being the cutest little western dressage gelding. He enjoys going over jumps and has been started on cross rails and he’s easy enough for beginners and children he could pull lesson duty too. River has a nice neck rein and is excellent one handed at the walk and trot. At the canter, if you know how to keep him between your legs, he can travel around one handed as well. 

River is not the type of horse to find the dirtiest spot he can…he likes to be clean and he is easy to wash off! He likes people and will come to you from a pasture and he has no vices in a stall. He is an easy keeper; stays fat on hay only. And he gets along well with other horses! 

River is current on dental, farrier, and all routine care.
