14-year-old gelding registered with the Equines of America. Reggie stands 14.1 hands and has a phenomenal neck rein. He has been hauled out to the Appalachian Mountains in Tennessee and trail ridden with our friends. He will take care of a novice rider and handle nicely. He is always the same ride whether you leave him sitting for a week or take him out daily.
Add to it that this gelding is the most unique and special color of CHOCOLATE palomino! A color rarely found in a non-gaited horse! Reggie will ride with a little more pep in his step for an adult, and he will walk gingerly and easy for a kid. He has one of the best canters to sit and ride and would be excellent a teaching someone who is ready to canter. Reggie is one of the few horses in my barn that is barefoot! We even rode him in the mountains without shoes or boots, and he is sound as can be!
Reggie does prefer to be towards the front when he is riding outside with a group. He can get a little jiggy towards the back, but he does not have any vices or do anything dangerous. He can also be tough to catch outside if you don't bring a bucket of grain with you, but he is easy in a pasture or stall and gets along with any horse.
